Unreal Engine 5 – Ship Deck Environment & Process Showcase Project

Project Overview

This project is a high-quality, real-time environment and interactive showcase developed in Unreal Engine 5, focused on creating a cinematic and gameplay-ready ship deck and interior exploration experience. The project combines advanced environment design, procedural world-building workflows, fluid simulation systems, gameplay interaction, and optimization techniques to deliver a visually immersive and technically efficient experience suitable for PC platforms.

The project was designed as both a visual showcase and a playable game build, demonstrating modern Unreal Engine 5 production pipelines using Blueprint systems, Niagara simulations, PCG workflows, custom materials, lighting techniques, and runtime optimization strategies.

Ship Deck Environment Creation

The ship deck environment was developed with a strong focus on realism, atmosphere, and gameplay readability. The entire exterior deck area was built using modular environment techniques to ensure scalability and efficient level iteration.

Key Environment Elements

  • Large-scale modular ship deck architecture.
  • Metal surface detailing with weathering and rust effects.
  • Interactive props and mechanical elements.
  • Industrial lighting setup with emissive fixtures.
  • Realistic ocean surroundings.
  • Dynamic atmospheric fog and volumetric lighting.
  • Environmental storytelling through prop placement.
  • Gameplay-friendly navigation areas.

Tools: Unreal Engine 5, Twinmotion human pack, 3ds Max, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter.

3D City Visualization : Category_Exterior walkthrough

I designed the city for the client and it was for the game environment as well as for the visualization purpose. I created the patch and the city areas and merged them later to create a big city. For visualization purposes, I used 3ds max and V-ray for the render. For the game scene, I used Unreal and Twinmotion/Megascan assets. The scene was under 4lakh poly per patch with car and people simulation it was under 40 lakh tris.

Product Design: Category_Furniture

Furniture Design for client. Sofa chair 360 degree backshot. I used 3ds max, Substance painter, photoshop and Adobe Aftereffects for this project. Low poly designing for the AR and texture base model. Poly size is under 4K polys and 8K Tris.
